Meet the Speakers

Chris Cooke – CMU:DIY (Chair)

Chris Cooke is MD and Business Editor of CMU, a service provider to the music industry. Best known for its media – the CMU Daily, CMU Digest, CMU Trends and Setlist podcast – the CMU business also provides training and consultancy to music companies, runs the CMU:DIY education programme for new talent, and presents the CMU Insights conference at The Great Escape each May. CMU is part of Chris’s company 3CM UnLimited, through which he also publishes cultural recommendations service ThisWeek London and its sister magazine ThreeWeeks Edinburgh; and helps to run the award winning PR training charity the Taylor Bennett Foundation.


Milly Allan – Coda

Milly Allen is a creative at CODA agency, home to artists such as Sampha, The XX, Disclosure, Grace Jones, and founder of showcase night Milly’s World showcasing some of the most exciting emergent talent including Kwabs, Sinead Harnett, Maverick Sabre, Etta Bond and Ady Suleiman. She’s worked in the live music industry for the last 8 years collaborating with managers, artists, record labels and young creatives, presenting on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Rinse FM and bringing new ideas to live music.


Nigel R Glasgow – B Flat Productions

Nigel R Glasgow is a tour manger and sound engineer from London. Over 10 years ago he set up his company B Flat Productions Ltd and is currently on tour with Mount Kimbie & Kamasi Washington.


Tom Paine – Team Love

Tom Paine is one of the founders of the Team Love family, a Bristol based company specialising in festival and event production. They’ve worked on production with numerous major UK festivals that include Glastonbury, Bestival, Boomtown and worked closely with Arcadia and Red Bull Music Academy providing management services for a number of their key events.
