Hosted by producer and DJ Kayla Painter in Colston Hall’s Terrace Bar, artists will give a 360° view of their journey and one-off insights into how they honed their skills.

After over 20 years in the game DJ Die is an artist whose passion, enthusiasm and relentless energy has earned his place as one of Bristol’s most cherished musical sons and one of drum & bass movement’s biggest stars. He has released music on seminal UK labels XL Recordings, Talkin’ Loud, Full Cycle and now heads up the incomparable GutterFunk label.
Wed 1 May: Hi5Ghost
Courtney Beckford, best known under his production alias Hi5Ghost has had a string of influential releases since his breakthrough 2014 track Kung Fu Kick released on Bandulu Records – Kahn and Neek’s strictly vinyl DIY label. Now heading up his own label Paper Cranes this Bristol-based artist and former dBs student shares his production tricks.

Best known for their world famous dubplate anthem ‘Victory’, Dubkasm have become a major part of the international roots and dub movement since the emergence of the UK digital dub sound in the mid-1990s. Famous for their explosive live shows featuring the heavyweight baselines of Sufferah’s Choice radio host Sam Howard (aka DJ Stryda) and firing saxophone of Ben Glass (aka Digistep), the pair have ignited parties on the best soundsystems around the world.
